Mahila Congress today protested over allegations of sexual exploitation of a woman by BJP MLA of Churah

The Mahila Congress, furious over the allegations of sexual exploitation of a woman against the BJP MLA of Churah, today protested outside the District Magistrate’s office under the leadership of District Shimla Rural Mahila Congress President Vanita Verma, demanding immediate arrest of the accused BJP MLA and strict legal action. She has alleged that in order to suppress this case, the BJP is pressurizing the victim woman to withdraw the FIR by threatening her. She has questioned the BJP’s top leadership for remaining silent on this matter and said that this has exposed the anti-women face of the BJP.
While demanding complete justice for the victimised woman, Mahila Congress has also demanded full security for the victim’s family.
State Women Congress General Secretary Shanta Rajta, Shashi Thakur, Satya Verma, Kamlesh Thakur, Madhu Thakur, Rupendra Kaur, Veena Vij, Nagedra Pandey, Rinku Verma, Subhadra, Sharda Kashyap, Krishna Jaryal, Babli, Asha Sharma, Kushalya Sharma, Asha Verma, Lokeshwari, Rajkumar Negi, Bhumlesh Thakur, Satya Thakur, Nirmal, Vanita and many other Women Congress officials and workers participated in the protest.
