Police solve a 16 lakh ornament theft in a matter of few hours in Dhalli Shimla

A team of Himachal Pradesh Police successfully nabbed a thief stealing Rs 16.50 lakh gold and silver ornaments from Shimla town in a matter of few hours of the crime.

A communique issued by the State capital police spokesperson claimed that swift action on a complaint of crime helped the victim to get back all the golden and silver ornaments stolen by the accused.

It is worthwhile to mention here that last evening police got a call of crime and it immediately swang into operation after constituting a special team.

A case (u/s 454,380 IPC) was registered in Police Station Dhalli, Shimla on the complaint of one  Ramesh Kr Gupta presently residing in Radhe Shyam Gupta Bldg Dhalli alleging therein that someone broke into his house during the day and stole gold and silver jewellery. 

Police station Dhalli team headed by Addl SP (Hq) Suneel Negi and Insp Virochan Negi solved the case within a few hours and apprehended the accused namely Shubham Gupta resident of Anuradha Bldg Dhalli, Shimla and recovered gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 16.50 lacs. 

The team also solved a similar case of burglary in the Sanjauli area recently and recovered gold jewellery worth lacs from the accused. 

Similarly, more than a dozen theft and burglary cases of PS Dhalli have also been solved by the team last year.
