World Tourism Day organized by Department of Tourism, Himachal Pradesh University

World Tourism Day was celebrated as a week by the Department of Tourism, Himachal Pradesh University. For this, various types of programs and activities were organized by the department from 21.09.2022 to 27.09.2022, in which the department organized painting competition, speech competition on rural tourism theme, and cleanliness drive, heritage walk, cultural program in the university. Today the chief guest of the last day of the program was Dean Studies Acharya Kulbhushan Chandel, special guest Acharya Arvind Kumar Bhatt. Acharya Kulbhushan Chandel ji sent best wishes on the occasion of World Tourism Day. And while appreciating the series of programs organized by the department, he said that Himachal Pradesh has a wide variety of possibilities from the point of view of tourism. Tourism is one of the major areas of progress of Himachal. To encourage tourism and increase facilities in this area, we should promote tourism as an industry. About 150 students from different schools of Shimla city participated in the programme. The main objective of organizing this program is to make people aware about tourism in the society.
