World Meditation Day Celebrated at Himachal Pradesh University’s Commerce Department
The Commerce Department of Himachal Pradesh University organized a meditation camp to mark World Meditation Day. The event aimed to raise awareness among researchers about the significance and benefits of meditation.
The program was graced by the presence of Professor Devendra Sharma, Head of the Commerce Department, and Professor Rajkumar Singh. Professor Singh introduced the participants to various meditation techniques and highlighted their advantages. He also conducted a 45-minute guided meditation session using the Yogoda Satsanga Society’s meditation techniques.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Singh emphasized the teachings of the Upanishads, stating, “The quest for the soul is the highest form of research.” He elaborated on the importance of meditation in managing a stressful life and shared practical methods for achieving balance through mindfulness.
At the conclusion of the event, Professor Devendra Sharma presented copies of the Gita Saar to the researchers as a token of appreciation. The program provided a valuable opportunity for the participants to understand the importance of meditation and its role in personal well-being.
