World Health Day celebrated in Nursing College Chamiyana

World Health Day was celebrated on Monday at Government Nursing College Chamiyana. On this occasion, speech, role play and poster making competitions were organized. Shivani got first place in the speech competition, Tavish Negi got second and Dikshita got third place. Similarly, in the poster making competition, Mehak got first place, Sonali got second and Diksha got third place. This program was organized as per the instructions of CMO Shimla Dr. Rakesh Pratap. Principal of Shimla Nursing College Dr. Krishna Chauhan presided over the program and all the nursing trainees and other departmental employees present were also administered the oath on World Health Day.
In his address, Dr Krishna Chauhan said that the World Health Organization was established on 7 April 1948. With the aim of making people aware of their health, the tradition of celebrating World Health Day started all over the world from 7 April 1950. Dr Krishna Chauhan said that health is the greatest wealth and in the world of materialism and modernization, people are not aware of their health, due to which people are becoming victims of various diseases. On this occasion, he also gave tips to stay healthy.
Dr. Akriti and health educator Sanjana Duffrack also expressed their views about the importance of World Health Day.
