Women should give their cooperation in making Himachal free from drugs and drug
One day awareness camp organized for women in Peeran
A workshop was organized for three women’s organizations in the Gram Panchayat of Peeran to provide information about various welfare schemes implemented by the government for the socio-economic upliftment of women. About 40 women participated in the workshop.
Lalita Kumari, the women’s social education organizer of Mashobra block, provided detailed information to the women about the village organization’s objectives and functions, as well as about loans and interest. She also appealed to the women to contribute constructively to making Himachal free of chitta. She advised parents to keep a close eye on their children, including what they watch on their mobile phones and the young people they hang out with the most.
The LSEO explained that through Digital Wellbeing, parents can monitor their children’s activities and see what they’ve been watching on their mobile phones throughout the day. Even if your children are studying or training in another city, keep an eye on them, as the spread of drug abuse and criminal activity is creating significant instability in society.
He also raised awareness among women about gender equality under the Nayi Chetana program. He expressed his satisfaction that the women of the village organization are creating beautiful decorative products from pine leaves, which could become a good source of income for them in the near future.
On this occasion, Regional Coordinator Praveen Kumari and Head of Keylong CLF Anita Sharma also gave tips to the women about their rights and becoming self-reliant.
Bimla Verma, Pradhan of Village Organization Peeran welcomed the officials of LSEO and CLF of Mashobra Block and requested to organize such workshops in future also so that women can get the latest information about the government schemes.
In the workshop, former head of Peeran Panchayat Kiran Sharma, Secretary of Keyonthal CLF Sunita Rana, Treasurer Sulekha Thakur, Head of Mahila Mandal Peeran Anita Mehta, Panchayat Secretary Rajiv Thakur, Head of Village Organization Peeran Bimla Verma and Secretary Vidya Chauhan, besides many women including Poonam Devi, Renu Ranjana Devi, Anjana, Priya and Anjali of Village Organization Dhali Bagda, Trahai and Peeran participated.
