Women of Trahai are becoming aware through village organization

In the remote village Trahai of Mashobra block, Maitri Gram Sangathan is playing an important role in making women self-reliant and making them aware of their rights. LRP Ranjana Bhatt told in a special conversation that meetings of the village organization are held from time to time every month in which informative information is given to the women by the officials of Mashobra Development Block and Keonthal Cluster Association. He told that this year Republic Day was also celebrated by the women of the village organization in which local head Kiran Sharma participated as the chief guest.
He said that Keonthal Cluster Officer Reena Thakur had recently given information about many welfare schemes being implemented for the socio-economic upliftment of women. Apart from this, awareness is raised in the meeting about eliminating social evils like feticide, treating son and daughter equally, various problems related to women’s health, paying special attention to the education of daughters, child marriage and dowry system. Ranjana Bhatt said that women are also given information about starting their own self-employment by the women officials of Keonthal Cluster.
