Women made various products from pine leaves

A week-long training camp on pine leaf products has concluded in Piran, a remote village in Mashobra block. Twenty-seven women from Piran village, as well as Devthi, Jathog, Nalta, and Batola, participated. The trainees reported receiving training in the crafting of various items, including chapati holder cases, flower vases, and pen stands. The women explained that pine leaves are abundantly available in rural areas, and after receiving the training, they will now create a variety of products from pine leaves at home, which will become a powerful source of additional income for their families. They stated that pine leaf products are inexpensive to produce, yet they sell at very high prices in the market.
