Woman paraglider dies near Bir Billing

A female paraglider from Noida died while paragliding at Bir Billing flying range under Baijnath subdivision of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh .

Deceased was paragliding on Sunday at Bir Billing site in Baijnath in Kangra district when mishap occurred. 

 Deceased  Ritu Chopra identified spouse of former Indian Air Force Wing Commander Ashutosh Chopra resident of Sector 25 Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar were  paragliding at Beed when mishap occurred.

The couple is paragliding in separate paragliders but the victim suddenly lost control on the craft and she fell down on the ground.

It was learnt that wing commander Ashutosh were paragliding for the last 6 years at Bir Billing. 

This time too both of them had reached Beed last Friday itself.

According to the police, both of them took separate flights at around 1 o’clock last Sunday But shortly after takeoff, the woman lost control of the paraglider and fell on a hill adjacent to a village called Sansal.
