Within 24hrs Rs. 20 lakh Education loan to be granted under Chief Minister Vidhyarthi Protsahan Yojana to poor students
Chief Minister Pupil Encouragement scheme was approved by the Council of Ministers of Himachal Pradesh under the scheme poor and needy students could available Educational loans up to Rs 20 lakh within the notice of 24 hrs which would be refunded with only one percent interest.
This was stated by Education Minister Harshvardhan during a cabinet briefing here today. Mr. Chauhan said the fulfilling promise made in the years 2024-24 budget in the Council of Ministers meeting rules were approved under Chief Minister Vidhyarthi Protsahan Yojana.
He said that now poor children of Himachal Pradesh could realize the dream of becoming doctors, engineers, etc. Such students wouldn’t suffer due to lack of money.
He said that CMVPY was approved by the COM under this scheme, loans of up to Rs 20 lakh would be given to poor children who have scored 60 percent or more marks in the qualifying examination for taking admission in medical, engineering, management, paramedical courses, pharmacy, nursing, ITI, polytechnic, and Ph.D., etc.
He said that every deputy commissioner has to make 50 lakh corpse and they would ensure that the fee would be deposited in the college of beneficiary-selected students within 24 hrs of applying under the scheme.
He said that meritorious Students belonging to poor families would get MBBS, BTech, and Pharmacy professional degrees and diplomas under this scheme.
