With the appointment of Rajiv Rana, backward class society will get a strong voice in Himachal

Under a notification issued by the Himachal Pradesh government, Rajiv Rana has been appointed a member of the Himachal Pradesh State Backward Classes Commission. This appointment, effective immediately, is being considered an important and visionary step towards social justice and inclusive politics.

Rajiv Rana currently serves as State Chairman of the Unorganized Workers and Employees Congress (KKC), Himachal Pradesh, and Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC). For a long time, he has been strongly involved in grassroots politics, advocating for the issues of laborers, unorganized sector workers, and the backward and disadvantaged classes. His administrative understanding, organizational experience, and direct connection to public concerns make him an ideal fit for this role.

Rajiv Rana has been recognized as a committed, hardworking, and dedicated leader dedicated to public service. He has consistently played an effective role at the government and organizational levels on issues related to unorganized labor rights, social security, reservations, and social justice. Therefore, his appointment is being seen as a symbol of strong representation and trust for the backward class community.

Reacting to his appointment, Rajiv Rana expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Governor, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, and the top leadership of the Congress Party. He stated that this position is not an honor for him, but a social responsibility. He will work with full commitment to convey the real problems of the backward class community to the government through the Commission, provide policy recommendations, and ensure that the benefits of schemes reach the last person.

He also said that as a member of the Commission, he would contribute with full honesty and activeness in strengthening the resolve of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu towards social justice and equal opportunity.

With this appointment of Rajiv Rana, not only will the Backward Classes Commission get experienced leadership, but the pro-people politics of the Congress Party will also get new strength.
