With increasing footfall at shrines : Special covid vaccination in Shimla

Shimla district administration have decided to target new covid vaccination driver around those places where footfall of people has started increasing. Chief Medical Officer of Shimla district Dr Surekha Chopra said in press release issued here today that during Navratri festival devotees are coming in large number. In order to ensure vaccination to the devotee as it is compulsory before the entry in these shrines special vaccination camps would be held in temple complexes for the facility  of the tourists and pilgrims.    


CM said in a press release issued here today that Health Department has decided to organized special session of covid vaccination to the Devotees during the festival season at Kalibari Mandir, Hanuman MandirJakhu, Hatkoti mandir Jubbal, Shribheemakali Mata Mandir Sarahan and Taradevi Mandir Shogi and Sankat mochan temple in Shimla district.


The special session of vaccination would be held in the temple complex tomorrow that is Oct 12  in which the devotees could get the jab of covid vaccination along with the  paying obeisance’s in the shrines, she added.


The state administration has made it mandatory to all the devotees and tourists to have a report of RT-PCR 72 hours before the entry in the shrines if they did not have the first or second jab of vaccination . During entry people should have to follow the SoPs  like thermal scanning, social distancing and wearing of masks and maintaining the records of  devotees in each shrines .
