Why is the risk of infertility increasing? Know the reason behind it: Dr. Chanchal Sharma

According to the WHO report, the risk of infertility has increased globally in the last few years. Due to this about 10 to 15 percent of couples have to face obstacles in having children. Infertility is a defect in which any couple has unprotected sex with their partner for 1 year with the aim of having children but all their efforts fail. Many factors are responsible for infertility but nowadays this problem is increasing. Explaining the main reasons behind its increase, Asha Ayurveda Director and Gynecologist Dr. Chanchal Sharma said that nowadays changes in people’s lifestyle, their diet, increasing pollution, various diseases, increasing awareness towards career and delays in marriage, etc. are some of the reasons which are usually responsible for this problem.

Dr. Chanchal Sharma has discussed some of the main reasons in detail as follows:

Increasing age: Nowadays women have become very conscious about their careers, due to which marriage is delayed many times and then when they plan for pregnancy, they have to face problems. After the age of 35, the quality of eggs and fertility of women decreases, so doctors advise that you plan pregnancy before the age of 35.

Lifestyle: In the modern race, everyone is so busy that they are neither able to take care of their physical health nor mental health, and due to increasing competition, people are always mentally stressed. These problems are mostly seen with those people who are not physically active, who do not do regular workouts, and who eat more junk food outside. Nowadays people smoke to look cool but perhaps they are unaware of the fact that these habits can take away the happiness of having children from you.

Increasing pollution: The increasing population and the race for development have increased the level of pollution to such an extent that there is a lack of clean air to breathe and, the use of chemicals in every food item. All these have affected fertility by inviting various diseases in your body, due to which the risk of infertility is increasing in both men and women.

Genetic: Sometimes all your reports are normal, lifestyle is also good but still you are unable to conceive. Such a situation can arise due to any genetic disease or hereditary deficiency.

Medical condition: If a woman is suffering from diseases like PCOD, Endometriosis, or ovarian cyst, then the risk of infertility increases in her. Excessive use of contraceptives or chemotherapy medicines has a negative effect on your health and can cause infertility in the near future.
