Shanta Kumar Asks – Who is telling a lie?
Former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and former Union Minister Shanta Kumar said that for the first time in the history of Himachal Pradesh, a terrible disaster occurred during the rainy season. Hundreds of houses were destroyed. About 500 people died or went missing. Thousands of homes and businesses were destroyed.
He said that I was experiencing an even bigger political disaster in the state. So many months have passed but the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh is saying that no assistance of any kind has been received from the Centre. Former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Jairam Thakur is going to Delhi to thank Prime Minister Shri Modi for providing disaster assistance to the state. I consider these words of the Chief Minister and the former Chief Minister to be a disaster that what both of them say cannot be true and it is very difficult for me to say that one or the other of the two is lying.
Shanta Kumar said that it seems that the general funds received by the state may have come, BJP is calling it disaster assistance and the government is considering it as a general grant.
He said that no one had ever thought that politics would stoop to such a low level. I request the Chief Minister and former Chief Minister of the state to please tell the real situation to the people of the state, otherwise the political leaders will completely fall in the eyes of the people of the state.
