Weather may affect traffic on Manali-Leh

Inclement weather conditions may affect movement of Vehicular traffic however tourists would be able to go beyond Darcha on the Manali – Leh road ( NH – 003 ). This was announced by the Lahaul-Spiti district administration issuing Weather and traffic advisory on today . Spokesperson of Lahaul Spiti Administration said today that movement of traffic depend on prevailing road and weather conditions. On the Leh – Manali route, trucks would be allowed to alternate (except one day). 
Koksar Gramphu open for light vehicles
Light vehicles ( other than bus trucks ) and two wheelers are allowed on Kaza Road from Koksar to Gramphu . The road leading to Darcha Shinkla pass has also been restored from where light tourist vehicles could go towards Zanskar Valley . Pangi road ( SH – 26 ) is open for all types of vehicles however it is closed due to landslide near Rohli Nala likely to restore soon . Speed limit sensors and equipment has been installed at Sissu and Keylong in district and regular naka and checking is being carried out by District Police for over speeding at various points in the districts. Therefore people are advised to drive within speed limit on National Highway and obey traffic rules at all times. Speed ​​Limits for the district , are 55 km per hour for light vehicles, 45 km per hour for buses and 40 jm per hour for truck. Heavy challan tune to Rs 1500 could be imposed on violation of over speeding.
