Vinay Kumar urged party workers to come together and strengthen organization
State Congress President Vinay Kumar has called on party workers to come together in solidarity to strengthen the organization. He said that the party has established a strong, experienced, young, and hardworking district president in Indrajit Singh, and everyone must give him their full support. They must always stand by him, following any party guidelines.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the state Congress headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla, to mark the inauguration of newly appointed Shimla Urban President Inderjit Singh, Vinay Kumar said that Shimla, the state capital, is a very important district. Any voice raised from here resonates throughout the state and country. He added that Inderjit Singh has been a very dedicated party worker and will now have to live up to the new responsibility he has been given. He added that as the District President of the Congress Party, he has provided the same excellent services to the people of Shimla as he previously served as President of the Shimla Chamber of Commerce and Councilor of the Shimla Municipal Corporation. He will have to take everyone along to strengthen the organization.
Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, while extending his best wishes to Inderjit Singh on this occasion, expressed hope that the organization in Shimla city will grow stronger under his leadership. He advised him to work in the best interests of the party and the public. As a citizen of Shimla, he would stand by him whenever he needed any support for the organization or the people.
Shimla city MLA Harish Janartha congratulated and wished Inderjit Singh on assuming this position, saying that as the District President, he now has the enormous responsibility of strengthening the Congress organization in Shimla city. He said that the path is difficult, and he must struggle and move forward. He added that the organization is paramount, so he will always stand with the organization on any order it issues.
Shimla Municipal Corporation Mayor Surendra Chauhan praised Inderjit Singh, saying that he had previously been his colleague as a councilor. Congratulating him on his appointment, he said that while he is currently the Mayor of the Shimla Municipal Corporation, as a Congress worker, Inderjit Singh is now his leader. He said that Inderjit Singh has been an outstanding social worker and he hopes that now, with his appointment as District President, he will further strengthen the organization in Shimla city.
Earlier, Inderjit Singh thanked all the leaders, the central high command and the state Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, State Congress President Vinay Kumar for giving him this important responsibility.
Growing emotional, Inderjit Singh said that he is a very small worker of the Congress Party. He has always worked to strengthen the organization, from the NSUI to the Youth Congress, to the Shimla Business Board, and as a Shimla Municipal Corporation councilor. He assured all the leaders and party workers present that he will do his best to meet their expectations and fulfill the trust the party high command has placed in him.
State Congress President Vinay Kumar, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Shimla city MLA Harish Janartha, Himuda Vice President Yashwant Chajta, former MLA Adarsh Sood, State Women Congress President Zainab Chandel, Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Director Harikrishna Himral, besides Amit Nanda, Anand Kaushal, Jitendra Chaudhary, Vineet Gautam, Dharmendra Dhami, Shimla Municipal Corporation Councillors, Women Congress, Youth Congress, Seva Dal, NSUI and a large number of party workers were present at the State Congress Headquarters.
Later, State Congress President Vinay Kumar, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh and Shimla city MLA Harish Janartha made Indrajit Singh sit on his chair in his office and gave him sweets.
