Vinay Kumar has accused BJP of lying, spreading confusion and misleading the people

State Congress President Vinay Kumar has accused former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur of lying, spreading confusion and misleading the people of the state and the country regarding the financial condition of the state. He has said that the current financial condition of the state is the legacy of the previous BJP government. The Congress government of the state has inherited a debt of more than Rs 70 thousand crores and liabilities of employees of more than Rs 10 thousand crores. Despite this, the state government, along with settling the liabilities of the employees, also completed the natural disaster relief work in the state. Despite not getting any relief from the Centre, the affected families were rehabilitated.
Vinay Kumar, reacting to Jai Ram Thakur’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that it would have been better if he had requested the Prime Minister to restore the state’s revenue deficit grant and release the 15,000 crore rupees announced by him, reminding him of the disaster relief announcement. He said that the discontinuation of the revenue deficit grant could impact future development work in the state. He said that the discontinuation of the revenue deficit grant is not a loss to any political party; it is a fight for the state’s rights and its entitlements. Unfortunately, the BJP is running away from the fight for the state’s rights; none of its leaders are talking to the central government about restoring the RDG.
Vinay Kumar dismissed Jai Ram Thakur’s statement to the media, in which he stated that the state was moving toward a financial emergency, as completely baseless. He said that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken some tough decisions in the budget to improve the state’s financial situation. He said that in the coming years, the state’s financial situation will improve and the state will move toward self-reliance. He said that the central Modi government is discriminating against the state, and that state BJP leaders are also involved in this.
