US delegation visit Biotechnology Incubation Centre of HPU

A delegation from the US Embassy, lead by Ms. Catherine Fischer and Ms. Joy King, Public Diplomacy Officers including Ms. Poorva Jassiand Ms. Sonal K Abbey visited Biotechnology Incubation Centre of Himachal Pradesh University here today.
Spokesperson of University said in a press release issued here today that it discussed various issues related to mutually beneficial areas especially entrepreneurship development, skill development, livelihood opportunities besides several issues related to women empowerment.
HPU  Vice Chancellor Prof. Sikander Kumar, along with all statutory officers of HP University and Executive Director, State Entrepreneur Development Centre, Deptt. of Industries. Ms. Deepika Khatri and  in charge of BIC Prof. Arvind Kumar Bhatt and manager, Dr. Ravi Kant discuss on the various issues related to University, areas of mutual interest.
A  brief presentation by Ms. Catherine elaborated on the specific areas activities of Academy of Women Entrepreneurs run my US Embassy Nexus space, OGPQ and other possibilities of arranging Resource Persons, Experts in specific areas, Safety of Women at Work Place and other on-line as well as offline help besides exploring more areas for mutual benefit can be initiated. 
The US Delegation was very much impressed by the overall growth and present working of the University and hoped that in future more possibilities will be explored.
 US delegation also interacted with the incubates, students, research scholars and women entrepreneurs 
Delegation was impressed by the progress made by the Center in encouraging the Start-Up activities and the prototypes developed were also shown to the delegates.
