Two students of Chiyog School will showcase their strength at the national level
Two students of the Government Senior Secondary School for Excellence, Chiyog, will compete in national-level karate and kurash competitions. Sejal won a gold medal in karate and Ishita in kurash at the recently concluded state-level under-19 girls’ competition in Una. Based on their outstanding performances, both students have been selected for the national competition.
It’s worth noting that 14 students from Chiyog School were selected for the state level at the district-level Under-19 Girls’ Competition held recently in Rohru. These included Anshu and Ishita in Kurash, Akanksha, Shabnam, and Aaradhya in wrestling, Sejal in Karate, Pooja in Yoga, Tamanna, Tejaswi, Sarika, Sneha, Srijal, Navya, and Sameeksha in handball.
Upon arrival at the school, the students participating in the state-level competition were warmly welcomed with garlands by Principal Sandeep Sharma and staff members. The Principal reported that 14 students from the school have achieved numerous medals by performing exceptionally well in state and district-level handball, yoga, wrestling, koras, and karate competitions.
He stated that the selection of Sejal and Ishita for the national competition has brought joy to the entire Chiyog area. The Principal extended his best wishes to both students and encouraged them to perform well at the national level. School Management Committee President Ramesh Verma, along with other officials and parents, congratulated the students. They credited this achievement to the hardworking Principal Sandeep Sharma, DPE Ramesh Verma, and PTE Kaushalya Verma.
