Tourist from Phagwara Dies Following Clash Near McLeodganj

A tragic incident unfolded near McLeodganj as a 33-year-old tourist from Phagwara, Punjab, lost his life amidst a clash between two groups of tourists. According to police sources, the altercation stemmed from a dispute between the tourists and a dhaba owner at Bagshunag, leading to a fatal confrontation resulting in the tourist’s death. Kangra district Superintendent of Police, Shalini Agnihotri, stated that the altercation, initially over a minor issue, escalated into a clash between locals and tourists, resulting in the injury and subsequent death of Navdeep, the 33-year-old tourist. The SP confirmed that the victim sustained a head injury and was rushed to the hospital but succumbed on the way. While six individuals have been detained for further investigation, the SP clarified that no arrests have been made at this point in the case.
