To save the youth from drug addiction, Gyan Vigyan Samiti raised the issue at the national level

In response to the alarming rise in drug addiction among Himachal Pradesh’s youth, the Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti (HGVS) has launched a comprehensive initiative. The organization aims to combat drug abuse not only at the state level but also regionally, nationally, and internationally. Satyawan Pundir, State General Secretary of the HGVS, announced this strategic move after a meeting with national leaders in Delhi. The meeting included Asha Mishra, General Secretary of All India Jan Vigyan Network, Dr. Kashi Nath Chatterjee, National Vice President of Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti, Dr. Indranil Mukherjee, Convener of Health Desk and Public Health Campaign, and Richa Chintan.

On June 26, the HGVS marked the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with the powerful slogan “Save Youth – Save Future.” Thousands of people participated in events held across 20 blocks in 8 districts of the state. Looking ahead, the committee remains committed to combating the scourge of drug addiction and safeguarding the well-being of the younger generation
