Thundershowers lash many places in Himachal

Thunderstorms, hail, and rain lashed many places in Himachal Pradesh as it was partly to mainly cloudy today.

A light windstorm hit a few places in State on Wednesday afternoon knocking down branches of trees in some parts of the Shimla and Solan district. Windstorm disrupted power supply in the state and Thunderstorm also hit the state this morning. 

Report if hailstorms also coming in from Kotkhaie(Shimla), Palampur(Kangra), and Sainj(Kullu). Following the impact of the yellow alert Shimla, Sundernagar(Mandi), Bhunter(Kullu), and Kangra were hit by wind and Thunderstorms.

Kangra recorded around 30 mm of rain, Sundernagar(Mandi): 24 mm Pandoh(Mandi) 23 mm, Chamba 22.5 mm, Mandi 15 mm, Dalhousie and Bharmour 14 mm, Palampur 13 mm, and Kukemseri 10 mm.

A report coming from the Lahaul-Spiti district said that high reaches are snowing in the district. The administration advised local people and tourists to leave for a safe place as soon as possible and avoid unnecessary travel in bad weather, travel only in case of emergency.

The minimum temperature of Keylong was 1.5 degrees coldest in the state followed by Kalpa at 3.5, Shimla at 10.6, Airport Bhuntar at 10.6 Dharamshala at 8.2,  Una at 16. Nahan 17 and Ksngra 15,Solan 12,  Manali6.8 , Bilaspur 15,Hamirpur 14, Chamba 13, Dalhousie 5.8, Kufri 5.9 and, Narakanda 5.4
