Three Independent MLAs who supported the BJP candidate in the Rajya Sabha poll tendered resignation 

 In another political move, three Independent MLAs who voted for the BJP Rajya Sabha candidates on the Feb 27 election today tendered resignation from their assembly membership.

Three Independent MLAs include a two-time member of the Assembly from Dehra Mr Hoshiyar Singh, a Member of the assembly of Nalagarh Former BJP rebel K L Thakur and a Member of the assembly from Hamirpur. 

Talking to our reporter Vidhan Sabha secretary Yashpal Sharma informed that three Independent MLAs submitted their resignation to him today which would be placed before the Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania for the final decisions. 

Talking to media persons after the tendering of resignation Three Independent MLAs said that they are going to join the BJP and they would support Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jagat Prakash Nadda. Independent MLA Ashish Sharma said that an FIR was lodged against them on behalf of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. He said that they did not repent of their decisions to vote for BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan but after voting for the RS election they were discriminated against and pressures mounted on them.

Ashish Sharma said that the BJP offered them the Assembly ticket and they would fight the assembly elections on the BJP ticket and people would support them. Hoshiyar Singh said that they tendered their resignation as after fighting the election they could not deliver it to the people. K L Thakur said that they were constantly being victimized by the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Government and they are not being allowed to run their family business. Mr Thakur said that they fought the election as Independent candidates but now BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda promised to give respect to the party.

Replying to a media query Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that they could not blame the Congress government as they were not voted on the Congress ticket and after flying in the Helicopter and with security cordon of CRPF  independent MLAs are behaving as if they were the Congress MLAs however his government never discriminate them and they are free to stay in state and should have served their constituents.
