Three dead, one injured in two mishaps in Solan district

A three year old child burnt alive and his father suffered grievous burn injuries when a fire broke out in a house at Dabhota village under Nalagarh sub division in this district, last night.

Similarly, two migrant labourers buried alive following triggering of landslide that hit the temporary structure at Gahar village near cantonment town Kasauli , last night.

Preliminary investigations by police revealed that three year old child burnt alive while his father Satnam Singh sustained grevious burn injuries when a fire broke out after sudden blast in the house at around 11 pm. Satnam Singh and his wife Pooja tried to save the child but by the time fire had engulfed the room, leaving the child dead. Pooja and Satnam Singh were immediately rushed to Nalagarh hospital where, doctors referred Satnam Singh to PGI Chandigarh while Pooja was discharged after giving first aid.

Solan superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that two migrant laboureres namely Sukhari Mukhia and Beas Mukhia, residents of Motihari-East Champaran in Bihar buried alive after a landslide hit their makeshift structures at around 12 pm at Gahar village under Kasauli police station. The bodies of both were sent for post mortem examination to Dharampur civil hospital. The police was investigating the case.
