There is no economic crisis in Himachal BJP is making false statements: Naresh Chauhan
Chief Advisor (Media) to the Chief Minister, Naresh Chauhan said here today that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is spreading false propaganda by citing the economic condition of Himachal in his election rallies in the neighboring states, the sole aim of which is to mislead the people by doing vote-bank politics. We have to win by doing this. He said that BJP will not succeed in its false plans and Congress government will definitely come to power in these two states. He was speaking at a press conference here today.
He said that there is no economic crisis in Himachal which BJP is falsely propagating, whereas the truth is that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has taken several effective steps to bring the state’s economic condition back on track and has created a disciplinary system for this. A new initiative has been taken which will benefit the people of the state in the coming times. He said that no compromise will be made with the development of the state, but our government, under the able guidance and dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, will make Himachal self-reliant. He is fully committed. He said that the tough economic reforms undertaken by the government will yield unexpected results in three to four years.
Chauhan said that the Central Government did not give a single penny to Himachal during the terrible calamity that struck Himachal last year and on the contrary, the leaders of the BJP-led Central Government are misleading the people by crying about the economic condition of Himachal. He said that in the wake of the serious calamity, the Central Government has not given any relief to the people. BJP kept doing politics while our government helped the affected people by giving an economic package of Rs 4500 crore.
He said that in this short period of 20 months, the Congress government led by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has taken many important and historic decisions. He said that the promises made by our government to the people will be fulfilled under all circumstances. As soon as we come to power, our government He has fulfilled the first of the ten guarantees by restoring the old pension scheme to the employees. Five guarantees have been fulfilled while the remaining five guarantees will also be fulfilled in a phased manner. He said that the additional Rs 2200 crore earned by the government Revenue is being spent on public welfare and development works of the state.
Naresh Chauhan said that the state government has started ambitious schemes like Sukhashray and is providing home expenses and free education for the upbringing of orphan children. Apart from this, the government has started Sukh Shiksha Yojana under which widows up to the age of 27 years in the state are provided with free education. The state government will bear the expenses on the education of children up to the age of 18. Himachal Pradesh is the first state in the country where support price is being given on milk.
He said that the people of Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir are not going to fall for the false promises and rhetoric of the BJP and certainly the Congress Party government will come to power in both these states.
