There is a possibility of damage due to rainwater entering the houses due to the closure of the kulh Palampur

According to Ashok Kumar, Manoj Ratna and Sunil Walia, residents of Saraswati Vihar Society located in Ward 1 Lohna of Municipal Corporation Palampur, water is entering their houses due to heavy rains, which may damage their houses. According to the information received, a kulh was built near their houses, which was used by local farmers for irrigation and rainwater also flowed through this kulh, but for some years this kulh has been closed by some unknown people and now it is being used for the road. He told that in this regard, Deputy Divisional Magistrate Civil Palampur Netra Maiti and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Palampur Ashish Sharma were also requested for the closure of the local kulh and its immediate restoration, but no action has been taken so far. Whereas due to heavy rains, water is continuously entering the houses and their houses are in danger.

Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Palampur and Councilor from Ward 1 Lohna, Raj Kumar said that the draft/estimate for the construction of the culvert is being prepared and efforts will be made to resolve this problem soon.
