Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta said that the present Congress government of the state is making baseless allegations against the central government. Roads work as lifelines in Himachal Pradesh and at present road construction work worth Rs 73000 crore is going on in Himachal Pradesh. He said that if the work is stopped then it is only because of the present state government, because this government is not giving any kind of government clearance, due to which our work worth crores of rupees is stuck. If the state government works well then there will be rapid development in Himachal Pradesh, the central government has left no stone unturned for Himachal Pradesh.
The Union MoS said that the brief description of National Highways with State Public Works Department, Himachal Pradesh (Regional Office Shimla, Road Transport and Highways) is as follows. The total length of National Highways (NH) in the State of Himachal Pradesh is 2592 Km, out of which 1231 Km is assigned to PWD/PIU of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 792 Km to NHAI and 569 Km to Border Roads Organisation (BRO). At present, 18 projects are underway under Regional Office, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Shimla.
He said that the status of CRIF (Road and Setu Bandhan) till date (22.04.2025), the total sanctioned amount of CRIF projects (road) in the state of Himachal Pradesh is Rs 2287.66 crore, out of which Rs 1329.48 crore has already been released on the basis of received Utilization Certificate (UC). The current BOS (Bank of Sanctions) ratio is 8.66. The total sanctioned amount for CRIF works under Setu Bandhan is Rs 154.25 crore, out of which Rs 7.04 crore has been released on the basis of received UC. The current BOS (Bank of Sanctions) ratio is 7.25.
He informed that National Highways Authority of India is implementing National Highways in the state of Himachal Pradesh at a total capital cost of about Rs 43,000 crore, which includes construction of about 768 km of highways and 68 tunnels, in which the total capital cost of Parwanoo Dhali is Rs 7913 crore, Pinjore Baddi Nalagarh is Rs 1692 crore, Kiratpur Manali is Rs 13784 crore, Pathankot Mandi is Rs 10067 crore and Shimla Mataur is Rs 10512 crore.
