The removal of 9 MLAs is undemocratic and a conspiracy of Congress to hijack democracy: Bindal
BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the statement of the State Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is undemocratic and is going to take Himachal Pradesh towards anarchy and instability. His statement that the membership of 9 BJP MLAs who tore papers inside the Assembly premises will be terminated, raises two questions on this, Sukhu government illegally appointed 6 Chief Parliamentary Secretaries and they are taking advantage of those facilities which they are not entitled to and their membership is going to end sooner or later. Now Sukhu government has realized that the membership of its 6 people is going to end, so in such a situation Sukhu government is conspiring to terminate the membership of 9 BJP MLAs in an illegal manner. This is going to create such a situation where Himachal Pradesh will move towards instability.
Dr Bindal said that the repeated claims of Congress leaders that these by-elections have been imposed by the Bharatiya Janata Party are completely misleading statements. The cat is now out of the bag and the public knows that these by-elections have been forcibly imposed on the public by the Sukhwinder government. He said that neither those 6 MLAs should have been disqualified nor these three by-elections should have been held along with the Lok Sabha elections. The entire responsibility of the Rs 40-45 crores being spent by the government on these elections lies with the Chief Minister.
The BJP President said that talking about removing 9 BJP MLAs is undemocratic and it is clearly visible how the Congress is conspiring to hijack democracy. In reality, this has not happened anywhere in the country and neither is there any such law nor can it happen, this is a statement given only to mislead the public so that the public knows that the Sukhu government is still stable.
Dr Bindal said that Sukhu Sarkar is once again afraid that his government is going to fall. Congress people have sidelined him, Congress leaders have sidelined him, his friends have been made cabinet ministers and now it is the turn of the family. Friends, family and Chief Minister, this is the Congress, this is the government, everything else is nothing.
Dr Bindal said that the people of Himachal are watching everything with open eyes and the Bharatiya Janata Party will win these three by-elections. It is certain today that the Chief Minister has announced the termination of the membership of 9 MLAs and it is clear from this that the Chief Minister has accepted defeat.
