The postal department will organize a camp in Peeran on May 21 to make Aadhar cards

A camp for updating Aadhar cards is being organized on May 21 in the building of Gram Panchayat Peeran, situated at the extreme end of Mashobra Block, under the joint aegis of the Postal Department Solan Division and Gram Panchayat Peeran. In addition to making new Aadhar cards and updating old ones, people will be informed about various schemes being run by the Postal Department. This information was given by Inspector Postal Department Solan Sushil Dutt Sharma.
He told that this camp will start at 10 am on 21st May in Peeran. In which any errors related to Aadhar card will be resolved. He told that new Aadhar card and mandatory biometric update will be made free of cost for children in the age group of 5 to 15 years. Whereas for any kind of change in Aadhar card, 50 rupees and for biometric photo update, a fee of one hundred rupees will be charged per person.
He informed that a joint meeting will also be organised by the senior officials of the Postal Department, Solan Division at 12.00 noon in which people will be informed about all types of facilities and schemes being provided under the post office.
Local Panchayat Pradhan Kiran Sharma has urged all the people of the Panchayat to take advantage of this camp. He said that people from this remote area have to go to Shimla or Solan to correct the discrepancies in their Aadhar cards and to get new ones made. He has thanked the Postal Department for organizing a camp for updating Aadhar cards in Peeran. He has also urged the people to reach the camp on time for Aadhar card related work and get themselves registered.
