The path to a drug-free Bhoranj – embrace sports, eliminate addiction: Rajiv Rana
The enthusiasm of the youth was palpable at the night badminton tournament organized by the Youth Club Dhamrol in Dhamrol, Bhoranj Assembly constituency. A large number of players and locals participated in the event, which lasted late into the night.
State Chairman, Unorganized Workers and Employees Congress (KKC) Shri Rajiv Rana, who was specially present in the program, while encouraging the players said that –
“The path to a drug-free Bhoranj is paved with sports. When young people take up sports, addiction disappears on its own. Sports provide discipline, energy, and positive thinking.”
He said that society must come together to protect the younger generation from drug addiction. Rana stated clearly that the stronger the playing field, the weaker the addiction will be.
While praising the members of Yuva Club Dhamrol, he said that such events infuse new energy and awareness in the villages.
The players displayed excellent sportsmanship during the tournament. An anti-drug pledge was also taken during the event, in which the youth pledged to stay away from drugs and engage in sports.
The event was attended by a large number of local villagers, sports enthusiasts, and youth. The winning athletes were honored at the conclusion.
