He said that even today the public and the family members of Vimal Negi are asking how this death happened and from the very first day they were not satisfied with the investigation being conducted in Himachal Pradesh, so they were demanding a CBI inquiry. But the Chief Minister has become habituated to lying and he was constantly saying that Negi’s family never asked for a CBI inquiry. Today the High Court’s decision has come and they have handed over the investigation to the CBI. For this, we also express our gratitude to the High Court.

Action taken under pressure, payment of Rs 13 crore

Jairam Thakur, while revealing the corruption, said that according to sources, we have come to know that in Pekhubela Solar Power Plant, as per the rules, 10% liquidation charges were to be deducted, the total of which is 22 crores, but for this solar project, the government released the payment of 13 crores by pressurizing the government officials. This power project is a big reason due to which Vimal Negi lost his life. It seems that the Congress leaders and government officials together have given protection to corruption. The officials who have come in the ambit of HPCL have been strengthened and given more protection.

Superintendent of Police created by Shimla Government and became powerful

Jairam Thakur said that it has come to light that the Superintendent of Police has been made more powerful by the government and the way he held a press conference against his senior officer DGP, it is clear that the present Superintendent of Police is doing such work under the protection of the government, in the affidavit given by the DGP in the High Court, serious allegations have been made against the Superintendent of Police. Although the police was known for discipline, but after this fight in the police, it will be known for indiscipline. The way the Superintendent of Police and Advocate General in Himachal are challenging the decision given by the High Court by holding a press conference is also contempt of court, action should be taken against them.

But the Superintendent of Police has become so emboldened that he is making allegations against the DGP, former DGP, Chief Secretary and Bharatiya Janata Party, this has never happened in the history of Himachal Pradesh till date.

Forensic investigation revealed that Negi’s pen drive has been formatted, strict action should be taken on this. What is the role of ASI Pankaj who took the pen drive, this should be investigated. Pankaj has been reported to the police, then why is there a demand for his police protection? Is there a threat to his life? There should be an impartial investigation of this entire case. The High Court has said that no Himachal Police personnel should be involved in the investigation, this should be implemented. CBI is the biggest investigation agency of the country, the government should have faith in it.
