The Congress government has worked only with a spirit of revenge: Lakhanpal
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and the entire legislative party welcomed and greeted the newly appointed BJP MLAs Sudhir Sharma and Inder Dutt Lakhanpal on their arrival at the Vidhan Sabha. Jairam Thakur and BJP MLAs welcomed them by offering them a bouquet of flowers. After this, both the MLAs took oath as MLAs.
On this occasion, Sudhir Sharma said that the current Congress government has lost badly in the Lok Sabha elections and we ourselves have defeated the Congress in Dharamshala. Politics of lies does not work in Himachal Pradesh and the Congress has always done politics of lies.

Sudhir said that soon after getting the Finance Ministry in the Modi 3.0 government, Nirmala Sitharaman has decided that an additional installment will be released to the states in addition to the regular release amount of tax transfer of June 2024, which is Rs 1 lakh 39 thousand 750 crore. With this amount released to the states for the financial year 2024-25, a total tax devolution of Rs 2 lakh 79 thousand 500 crore has been made to the states till June 10, 2024. The Center has always given Himachal its rights, but the present government has always worked to increase the financial burden on the state.
Inder Dutt Lakhanpal said that after taking oath on Sunday, the Prime Minister took charge. He chaired the first meeting of the Union Cabinet and took two major decisions. The first decision was to build three crore houses for the poor of the country under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the second was to release the installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi in the accounts of farmers. This shows in what positive way the Central Government is working to strengthen the country.
He said that the Congress government in the state has worked only with a spirit of revenge which is not in the interest of the state. There is definitely an atmosphere of suffocation in the Congress party.
