Cleanliness system in Junga has broken down – Local administration unaware
Due to the lack of proper arrangements for cleanliness in the princely town of Junga, the piles of garbage spread all around are enhancing the beauty of the city. In this city with a population of about three thousand, no concrete arrangements have been made by the local administration and Panchayat for waste management, due to which there is a lot of anger especially among the businessmen of the city. Many businessmen, including Rajesh Kaushal, head of the trade board, said that they have written to the local administration, i.e. Tehsildar and Gram Panchayat, regarding the cleanliness of Junga city. Despite this, they are not being heard at any level. He said that the Trade Board will provide full support to the local Panchayat to improve the cleanliness system. Rajesh Kaushal said that if proper cleaning arrangements are not made in time, then the chances of the spread of any epidemic may increase due to dirt in the summer season.
Let us tell you that Junga City has not yet been given the status of Nagar Panchayat. During the previous BJP government, former CM Jai Ram Thakur and former Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, who came to Junga in the year 2019, had assured to make Junga city a Nagar Panchayat, but all these promises remained limited to announcements only. At present the population of Junga city is more than three thousand. Apart from the Tehsil Headquarters, the largest forensic lab of the state, the offices of various departments including the first battalion of police are present. The work of proper arrangement in the city is done by the local Panchayat. Local Panchayat head Bansi Lal Kashyap said that the Panchayat cleans the city twice a week for which the cleaning staff is paid a daily wage. They said that earlier an employee was hired for daily cleaning work and he was beaten up by some local businessmen due to which the cleaning employee left the job. He said that cleaning the city is his top priority for which the Panchayat is making all-out efforts.
