Cement factory deposits Rs 14.73 Cr with the state, affected panchayat disbursed 3.61 Cr : Harshvardhan
Himachal Pradesh Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan informed the house that the state disbursed Rs 3.61 Cr to various mining-affected Panchayats up to a radius of 15 km from the Baga mining lease however the district Mineral Foundation Trust got Rs 14.73 Cr. from the Cement factory located at Baga.
In replying to a written query raised by the BJP MLA, Randhir Sharma (Shri Naina Deviji) Minister said that DMFT was deposited Rs 8,52,33,270/ by the Factory between April 2023 to January 15, 2024, and Rs. 6,21,29,178/ – has been deposited. Therefore, a total amount of Rs 14,73,62,448/- has been deposited in the District Mineral Foundation Trust in the last two years (from April 2022 to January 15, 2024).
Under the District Mineral Foundation Trust, an amount of Rs. 3,61,43,824/- was sanctioned last year to various mining-affected Panchayats up to a radius of 15 kilometers from the Baga Mining Lease under the rules of the Trust.
Minister that no proposal of any kind was received from Bilaspur Panchayat therefore no amount was sanctioned. Under the mining areas, 23 proposals of Rs. 13,34,99,634 were received by the DMFT from the five affected Gram Panchayat.
