State affairs in-charge Surabhi Verma has asked the State Women Congress to go to the field with the policies and programmes of the state government.
Addressing a meeting of the Mahila Congress at the state Congress headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan, today, Surabhi Verma said that more women should be included in the Mahila Congress in the state. She added that women, who constitute half the country’s population, need to be made aware of their rights. Emphasizing the need to quickly complete the women’s membership campaign in the state, she said that the executive committees of the district and block Mahila Congresses will soon be formed, so that the women of the state can be made well aware of the anti-people policies and decisions of the central BJP government.
State Women Congress President Zainab Chandel said during this that the Women Congress is standing in complete unity in the state. She said that whatever programs they get from the Central High Command or the State Congress Committee are being completed successfully.
Expressing gratitude to all the Mahila Congress officials present at the meeting, Zainab Chandel said that it is only because of their support that the organization is moving forward strongly in the state. She said that women have played a vital role in forming the Congress government in the state, and she expresses her gratitude to all the women for this.
Zainab Chandel said that it is a big challenge for women to give time to political and social work along with household responsibilities, despite this she stands shoulder to shoulder with them in the work of the organization.
