Summer Campaign organized at Chail Koti College

A workshop on ‘Kamal Ka Camp – Summer Campaign 2025’ was organised by the courtesy of Pratham Education Foundation at Government College Chayal Koti. 30 students of the college participated in it.
On this occasion, the Principal of the college said that the students of the college will organize such summer camps with the children of their neighborhood between 20th May to 20th June 2025.
He said that the National Education Policy 2020 underlines the need to achieve the goals of basic language and mathematics in children. In the context of Himachal Pradesh, the data of the Annual Status of Education Report 2024 shows that there is a need to work on basic mathematics of children from class V to VIII. Therefore, in the summer camp organized by the organization at the community level in Himachal Pradesh during May and June, there will be more focus on basic mathematics with children of classes 5th to 8th. In this campaign, volunteers will work on basic operations like local value, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with the children of their neighborhood for one to two hours every day for five weeks.
It is worth noting that Pratham Education Foundation is a non-governmental organization that has been working in the field of quality education since 1995. Currently, this organization is working in more than 23 states and union territories including Himachal Pradesh. Pratham’s programs are reaching children and youth across the country directly and through collaboration with governments and other organizations. Pratham Education Foundation is organizing a five-week long Amazing Camp – Summer Campaign 2025 as a nationwide campaign this year, which aims to strengthen the basic learning skills of children at the community level across the country through fun activities of reading, writing and mathematics.
