Students of Sangrah School receive training on tourism at Manav Hill Resort

Students of Government Senior Secondary School Sangrah received training in various aspects of the tourism business during a two-day workshop at Manav Hill Resort near Haripurdhar. 50 students of classes 11 and 12 of the school received professional training in various disciplines of cooking, catering, housekeeping, and hotel management in the tourism business. During this two-day professional workshop, 50 students of the school reached Manav Hill Resort and participated in many programs including trekking, camping, music, and quiz competitions They also spent an evening at Manav Hill Resort and studied various aspects of the tourism business in detail. Addressing the students on this occasion, the Managing Director of Manav Resort Mela Ram Sharma said that the tourism business is an excellent employment-oriented business and there are great possibilities for tourism development in the Haripurdhar area of ​​Sirmaur district due to its natural beauty. He said that due to the possibilities of self-employment and employment with others in the field of tourism, this business is flourishing on a large scale in Himachal. The school’s vocational teacher Rishav Sharma said that due to the clean environment and amazing natural scenery in Himachal Pradesh, lakhs of tourists from India and abroad visit Himachal every year. He said that the tourism business in Himachal can become the basis for the bright future of the youth. He appealed to more and more youth to join this tourism business so that along with self-employment, they could also provide employment to others. During this, the students were given practical training in hotel management techniques like preparing food for tourists, serving food, maintaining cleanliness, housekeeping as well as preparing camping tents, etc. at Manav Hill Resort. On this occasion, track trekking experts Anil Rana and Praveen Thakur from Haripurdhar gave practical training to the students on setting up camping tents and many exciting techniques of trekking. During this two-day workshop, the students had a lot of fun by swinging on swings and performing Sirmour Natiya at Manav Hill Resort and made one evening of their life memorable.
