Stron Devta Mela on 4th August at Kufar Johar

The famous and traditional Stron Devta Shanol fair of Rajgarh sub division will be celebrated with great enthusiasm on 4th August at Kufar Johar Thanoga near Churvadhar. Fair committee head Shekhar Sharma said that traditional worship of Devta Stron, wrestling and cultural programs will be the main attractions of the fair. He said that District Cooperative Cell Coordinator and former Vice President Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank Solan Yashpal Singh Thakur will participate in the fair as the chief guest. He will formally inaugurate the fair on 4th August at 11 am. While commission agent Pravesh Chauhan of Delhi Ghazipur will be present as a special guest on the closing ceremony of the fair.
Pradhan Shekhar Sharma said that on 4th August, traditional worship and havan yagya of Sron Devta will be performed at 8 am. Thereafter, the holy stick of the deity will be given a grand welcome at the fair site at 10 am. For the entertainment of the people, colourful cultural programs will be organized in the fair in which famous artists of Sirmaur and other districts will spread the magic of their art. Wrestling will be organized in the afternoon in which famous wrestlers of northern India will participate. In which the wrestler who wins Mali will be given a prize of 51 thousand.
