State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau arrests former secretary of Himachal Staff Selection Commission
In a major development on Tuesday SIT of the State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau probing the alleged leak of 30 papers in Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur arrested Senior Officers of the Commission for alleged involvement in the crime.
A spokesperson of SVACB said that in the recruitment scam in the Subordinate Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur, former Secretary of the Commission and HAS officer Jitendra Kanwar was arrested today.
The SIT was continuously quizzing him in relation to the involvement of senior officers in allowing the scams and to finding their involvement in the crime by Vigilance.
He has been arrested in the paper leak case in the recruitment of Junior Office Assistants IT Code No. 965. Vigilance had already. arrested senior assistant Una Azad of the commission’s secret branch and her son Nikhil Azad, many people related to them.
However, the investigation agency has not revealed any disclosure about the involvement of Vigilance in Jitendra Kanwar’s paper leak case.
According to vigilance officials, Jitendra Kanwar would be produced in the court tomorrow.
The investigating agency claims that the examination papers of the recruitment for about thirty different posts in this commission were leaked and in many cases, transactions have also taken place.
Besides JOA SVACB also registered cases of leak of question papers of the traffic inspectors, and art teachers examination.
