State Tehsil Welfare Officer Association demanded to fill posts of data entry operator
While on one hand the Tehsil Welfare Officer offices of the state are struggling with the shortage of staff, on the other hand, under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana started by the government, there is a pile of applications of women for which there is neither space in the offices to keep them nor staff to sort them. On the other hand, the higher officials are putting pressure on the Tehsil Welfare Officers to process the applications quickly. Due to which many officers and employees have come under stress.
Regarding the issue of staff, the State Tehsil Welfare Officer Association held a virtual meeting yesterday in which all the officers said that there is no staff. Tehsil Welfare Officer Mahasangh spokesperson Satish Sharma said that this is a very good scheme launched for the welfare of women, but the posts of data entry operator and field supervisor have not been filled in the State Tehsil Welfare Officer offices, due to which there is a pile of applications of women under this scheme. The situation is such that there is no suitable place to keep the forms in the offices. He said that there is a lot of difficulty in checking the applications of women and confirming it from the concerned women and there is a lot of apprehension of fraud in this scheme. He says that during the verification, many such cases have come to his notice that women in whose families there is a government job or pension have also applied to take advantage of this scheme.
Spokesperson Satish Sharma said that a memorandum has also been submitted to Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Dhaniram Shandil regarding this serious problem. Apart from this, all the Tehsil Welfare Officers of the state are sending memorandums to the government through the District Welfare Officer. He said that apart from the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, many welfare schemes are being implemented by this department. Due to shortage of staff and excessive work pressure, the Tehsil Welfare Officer and employees of the department are facing problems. He said that applications of more than ten thousand women have come to his office.
The Federation has demanded from the State Government to immediately fill the posts of one Data Entry Operator and one Field Supervisor in the office of every Tehsil Welfare Officer so that this ambitious scheme launched for the welfare of women can be implemented in a timely and correct perspective.
