Special workshop organized in Koti College on drug prevention

The Drug Prevention Committee of Government College Koti organized a special workshop with the aim of saving children from the rapidly spreading drug addiction under the joint aegis of Red Ribbon Club, NSS and Social Science Committee. Principal Dr. Deepshikha Bhardwaj, while presiding over the program, said that drug addiction is a symbol of destruction and no one can remain happy and healthy by consuming it. She said that school children and youth are becoming victims of various types of drugs, which is a matter of concern and concern. She advised the children to stay away from drugs and said that if any person encourages them to take drugs, they must inform their parents or school principal so that legal action can be taken against such person.
Professor of Political Science, Dr. Devendra Sharma said that today Himachal has reached such a stage in the context of drug abuse that now we do not need awareness campaigns but preventive measures because drug abuse has entered our homes. In today’s time, Himachal’s youth are falling prey to drug abuse the most in the country. He made the children aware of the different types of drug abuse and also told the students the ways to avoid them.
Among the many ways to avoid this, NICE concept was explained that how to avoid anyone trying to pull you towards this. N means direct refusal, I statement means I don’t like it, C means change the topic, E means get out of it. With this formula, you can avoid anyone pulling you towards addiction.
