Special Gram Sabha on April 24 under Kisan Credit Card Campaign: Virender Kanwar

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar informed here today that a special Gram Sabha would be organized by the department on 24^th April, 2022 under the Kisan Credit Card campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would address this special Gram Sabha.

In this special Gram Sabha, efficient farmers and Prime Minister Kisan (PM Kisan) beneficiaries would also be motivated for merging them with Kisan Credit Card.

Virender Kanwar said that Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari (Farmer Partnership Our Priority) campaign is being run by the Central Government, under which Kisan Credit Card campaign would be organized from 24^th April to 1^st May, 2022 and Fasal Bima Pathshala Abhiyan from 25^th April to 1^st May, 2022.

This campaign would be organized under the joint aegis of district administration, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Milk Production, Fisheries, Revenue and other related departments, Local bodies, Panchayat Secretaries and NABARD.

He said that the main objective of the campaign is to provide information and helping them to get the benefits of the schemes being implemented by the government, mainly under Kisan Credit Card and other various schemes related to Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Milk Production and Fisheries. He said farmers and PM Kisan beneficiaries would also be registered for all schemes under Kisan Credit Card. All eligible farmers of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna would also be included for all social security programs run by the Central Government, he added.

Under the Fasal Bima Pathshala Abhiyan, all the implementing insurance companies would organize campaign at the block and village level and farmers would be provided information about the various provisions and their importance and various formalities under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna.

Central Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, State Nodal Departments for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Cooperative, ATMA, Regional Officers, Insurance companies implementing the program, Common Service Centers, Rural Finance Institutions would participate in this campaign. Under this, a one-day grand event would be organized on 27^th April, 2022. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar would address the farmers of the country through Lokmitra Kendra and would give information about the PM crop insurance scheme.

After the address of the Union Minister, Agriculture Minister Virender Kanwar would address the farmers of the State. Under this campaign, information about the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna would be provided to the farmers by various experts.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister exhorted the farmers of the state to participate enthusiastically to make this special campaign a success so that they could get benefit of the welfare schemes of the government.
