Snowfall, Spotlight, and a Crown: Sneha Shines as Winter Queen 2026 in Manali

Manali’s five-day Winter Carnival 2026 wrapped up on Sunday under a curtain of heavy snowfall, blending the magic of the mountains with the vibrancy of culture. The grand finale was marked by the much-anticipated Winter Queen Contest, where Sneha from Mandi district claimed the crown after years of perseverance.

The contest drew 21 participants from across Himachal Pradesh and beyond, each bringing their own charm and preparation. Sneha emerged victorious after a nail-biting final round, with Manali’s own Sanyogita Thakur named First Runner-Up and Dharamshala’s Ishita Gurung securing Third Position.

A Celebration of Culture and Talent

The closing ceremony, officiated by Manali MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur, showcased the region’s rich traditions—folk dances, soulful music, and artistic performances that lit up Manurangshala for five unforgettable days. Tourists and locals alike braved the snowfall to witness the spectacle, reaffirming Manali’s reputation as a premier winter destination.

Triumph After Persistence

For Sneha, the crown was more than just a title—it was the culmination of three years of determination. “This achievement is the result of sustained effort and unwavering support from my family and mentors,” she reflected, calling the contest a prestigious national platform that tested every ounce of preparation and resilience.

Her fellow winners echoed similar sentiments. Runner-ups Sanyogita and Ishita described the experience as both challenging and rewarding, offering exposure and confidence for their future journeys.

More Than a Carnival

Beyond the competition, the Winter Carnival stood as a celebration of community, culture, and the spirit of Himachal Pradesh. Even as snow blanketed the town, the warmth of tradition and talent kept Manali glowing—reminding everyone that winter here is not just a season, but a festival of life.
