Snow clearance partly completed on Manali-Leh NH-3 : Admin

Border Toad Organization completed the snow clearance operation on the single lane Manali-Leh NH-3 on Sunday and road likely to be opened for Vehicular traffic after inspection by Deputy commissioner & Police Superintendent Lahaul Spiti district on Monday, a spokesperson of district administration said in a press release. He said that Manali-Leh road (NH-003) up to Darcha and Pangi road (SH-26) are open for all types of vehicles. The road from Darcha to Leh road would be opened after joint inspection by the team of district administration and BRO. The Administration also allowed emergency vehicle. Around 434km Manali-Leh NH-3 was closed for vehicular traffic five months ago during the winter season. Road was opened a month ahead of its normal snow clearance operation as Manal-Rohtang tunnel providing all weather connectivity in round the year.
