SJVNL clocks all-time high generation in a day

Mini Nav Ratana Goverment company Setluj Jalvidhut Nigim Limited (SJVNL) clocked all-time high power generation during a single day on Tuesday.

According to the Public sector hydropower Spokesperson firm record of 50.498 million units generation in a single day from its tow power project is 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydropower Station and 412 MW Rampur hydropower project.

According to Chairman and chief managing director Nand Lal Sharma Nathpa Jakhri’s power project achieved generation of 39.527 million units and Rampur  10.971 mu in a day on July 17, 2023.  

The previous per day’s highest generation record was 39.526 mu at  Nathpa station on August 29, 2022. However, Rampur station set a new record by generating 10.971 mu on Tuesday.  

 During this year 50 mw Sadla Windpower Station has achieved its highest 15.039 MUs, generation beating breaking own previous  11.119 record in 2021-22. 

During peak power season and increasing water flow due to thawing of snowfall, SJVNL has achieved 101.05 mu during the first quarter of this year which is around 73 pc from the corresponding period of last year from operation including hydro wind, and Solar power.

“Our achievements are the result of efficient management, optimum operation, and maintenance practices as well as proper repair and maintenance of the project components which have contributed to achieving the maximum efficiency and productivity,” said Sharma.  

The company has sustained a positive trajectory in power generation aiming to achieve a commission target of  5,000 MW by the end of the current financial year.
