SIT constituted to probe Cryptocurrency frauds in Himachal

Himachal Pradesh government today announced to formation of a Special Investigation Unit led by DIG Northen Range Abhishek Dullar to probe the Cryptocurrency frauds in the state. 
This information was given by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri in the question hours in the reply to Independent member Hoshiyar Singh. He said that the cryptocurrency frauds are not confined to Himachal Pradesh but they spread in the entire country and national-wide crime. Mr. Agnihotir stated that six FIRs have been registered about the cryptocurrency frauds and 56 complaints were also lodged by the victims of such frauds. Dy CM said that five persons were arrested for this crime.
He said that the member is right that most of the cryptocurrency frauds are recorded more in Una, Kangra, and Hamirpur districts. Dy CM announced in the house that an SIT led by DIG Abishaik Dullar who recently returned from CBI to investigate the financial crime.
The minister said that the government is not privy to information on the scale of crime but it is a nationwide crisis. He said that he could not say that some politicians may be involved in this. Since the Member sought the probe into the scam SIT would be formed soon led by DIG Abishaik Dullar.

Earlier raising a query in the house Hoshiyar Singh said that a number of people are being allured by the cryptocurrency fraudsters as an amount of Rs 200 Cr was cheated in Hamirpur, Rs 100 Cr in Kangra, and 150 Cr in Una. He demanded to constitute the SIT or probe the matter by the high court retired Judge. He said that he had information that 125 people were cheated in Dehra Assembly segments duping Rs 10 Cr from them. 

He said that he had the names of 125 people and the amount cheated from by the number of cryptocurrency fraudsters including Bitocon and Bitcash. The Member said that some political people and leaders were also involved in the scam. He said that people are cheated by some frauds people similar to Desha Sanstha in 2019 also cheated women in the state. The member said that fraudsters are changing their name and cheating people to lure them to earn more money.
