Shown door from orphanage: How CM rescued destitute daughter 

 Destitute daughter reached CM Sukhu at night with trouble, within 15 hours the government announced shelter to her .A destitute daughter reached late Wednesday night to meet Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.  During the meeting at the state secretariat at around 11 pm, the destitute daughter told Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu that she is 27 years old.  Girls are allowed to stay in the Ashram only till the age of 26 years.  In such a situation, she has no shelter to live now.  Shivering in the bitter cold, CM Sukhu first gave a shawl to the daughter who was narrating her agony.  After this, the officials were instructed to take immediate action in the matter, now on Thursday evening the Himachal Pradesh government made an announcement in this regard. 

Within 15 hours, the state government increased the age for girls living in Balika Ashrams from 26 years to 27 years.  Apart from this, it was announced to give appropriate amount of money to all the destitute daughters by the government to build four biswa land and houses.  Chief Minister Sukhu said that the government will provide land to all the destitute daughters to build houses.  Home for the destitute daughter will be ready in a year Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that till the house is ready for the destitute daughter, she will be able to stay in the girl’s ashram.  Apart from this, the work of preparing a shelter for the daughter will be done in one year’s time.  He said that those destitute daughters who do not have any place of their own, the government would help them to build houses.  The government has created an aid fund for destitute children. It is worth noting that in the state, the government headed by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is taking special steps for the destitute. To provide support to the destitute children, the Sukhashraya Sahayata Kosh has also been set up by the government. The upliftment of destitute children is being done through this fund. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has made it clear that the government is not helping the destitute children, but giving them their rights.
