Shimla Parliamentary Constituency Member of Parliament Suresh Kashyap stated that the central government has approved the construction and upgradation of 92 road projects (total length 451.19 kilometers) for the Shimla Lok Sabha constituency under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY-IV) at a cost of ₹637.20 crore. These projects will directly benefit 149 villages in the area.

MP Suresh Kashyap said that this scheme is a historic step towards strengthening the connectivity of rural areas. It will provide great convenience in transportation for farmers, gardeners, students, and the general public, and will also strengthen agriculture, horticulture, and the rural economy.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has always prioritized Himachal Pradesh and pursued development projects without any discrimination. This approval is proof that the central government is fully committed to the development of Himachal’s remote and mountainous regions.

Suresh Kashyap expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for this significant achievement. He urged the state government to ensure timely, transparent, and quality completion of these road projects, ensuring long-term public benefits.

He said that a strong road network will not only make rural life easier but will also play an important role in disaster management, tourism and employment generation.
