Shimla DC takes stock of Snowfall situation
Shimla and nearby areas are wearing thick blanket of Snowfall and normal life is almost standstill and people and Tourist confined to home and hotel as it’s was snowing inceasently
Deputy commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi came out himself on ground zero to take stock of restoration work after heavy snowfall in town and Tourist resort.
Aditya Negi joined other officials to restore Shimla town and its surrounding roads for traffic.
DC visited the roads from 0709hrs in the morning. ordered to know the Snowfalls situation minutely.
He told the officers that the traffic should not be disrupted under any circumstances so that the supply and movement of essential commodities could be maintained smoothly.
Shimla Kinnaur Hindustan Tibet National Highway is off for vehicular traffic since last night however DC directed the officials of the National Highways Authority of India to immediately clear the snow from the National Highway so that the goods and vehicles coming from outside do not face any kind of obstruction or inconvenience.
Shimla got about 30 cm Snowfall and it was continue. Tourist resort Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda cut off from road communication.
He also visited various areas within Shimla town and directed the officials to clear the roads of Shimla town at the earliest so that the movement of people and other activities could be made normal, during this time SDO National Highways Authority of India Kunkum Heeshe Negi, Exon. National Highway and SDO National Highway and Sub Divisional Officer Shimla Urban Manjit Sharma were also present.
