Shimla Cart Road closed for vehicular traffic after heavy landslide
The heavy landslide occured on the Shimla cart road between Gurudawara parking to Ganjbajar link road forcing the adeministeration to close the thisroad between Old ISBT to Gohrahospital this afternoon. The police office told us that a old retaining wall between the Cart road and Ganj bajar link road started caving in this afternoon around 4.30 pm. All vehicular traffic was diverted via Khalini to New ISBT and New ISBT to Victory tunnel and Old ISBT . The massive landslide occured around 1900 hrs near Gurudwara Parking .The wall debris blocked the cart road completely. Nop ersteroation work was started sofar.. The vehicular traffic remained civerted via New ISBT and Khalini vice versa till the road was restored for the vehicular traffic.
Vehicular traffic also disrupted between Power house to Totu as a Army truck went uncontrol and hit the road wall near the Power house , The truck was negotiating a sharp curve when it went uncontrolled and hanged on the walls for one hours and 45 minjuts. All the vehicular traffic also diverted via Taradevi to Totu or vice versia on the National Hiighway -88. Now the traffic has been restored.
